Sample questions

Our recruitment process has more details about how these assessments are used, but here are some example questions. If you can answer these comfortable, you’ll do fine on our assessment.

Example literacy questions

• Write a short paragraph describing exciting  developments in the production lighting  industry.
• What sort of word is missing from these sentences (verb, noun, adjective)?
  • Jim was carrying a load of bricks in his ______ wheelbarrow
  • Jim was carrying a load of _____ in his large wheelbarrow
  • Jim was ______ a load of bricks in his large wheelbarrow

Example numeracy questions

• How could you calculate how many clamps are in a large bin of clamps? (there are several hundred)
• From looking at a given train timetable, what time do I need to catch a train to arrive at Southern Cross station by 1130am?

Example IT questions

• What are the main differences between USB A and USB C?
• What are the differences between the “TO” and “CC” fields on an email?
